3rd Annual Touch A Truck
A Hands-On Family Event for Kids of All Ages!
WHAT IS IT?
Touch a Truck provides a unique opportunity for children to explore vehicles of all types – public service, emergency, utility, construction, landscaping, transportation, delivery and just plain cool – all in one place! Children will be allowed to touch, climb on and ask questions about their favorite trucks in a safe, supervised environment. Accompanying personnel will teach the children about the equipment displayed and how these machines help us and our community. Crafts, activities and kid-friendly food will be available to make this a perfectly entertaining day for the entire family!

Sunday, April 17, 2010 – Noon to 4 p.m.
WHERE IS IT?
University Mall parking lot (outside Dillard’s), Chapel Hill, NC
WHO IS ORGANIZING IT?
Boy Scout Troop 39, chartered by University United Methodist Church in Chapel Hill, is sponsoring the event.
WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THE MONEY RAISED?
Through the North Carolina Children’s Hospital’s Promise Grant program and Troop 39’s programs, service projects and activities, all money raised will support children and the community. The hospital’s Promise Grant programs include camps for ill children, training for the parents of high-risk children, meals for families who have children at the hospital for extended periods of time, car seats for children with special needs, and more.
HOW MUCH IS ADMISSION?
$5 per person, with a maximum of $20 per family. Under 2 is free.
